1.PP + Glass Fiber (Polypropylene Reinforced Material): A Mainstream, Cost-Effective Choice

Core Advantages: Adding 20%–30% glass fiber to PP significantly improves impact resistance and creep resistance, allowing for a load-bearing capacity of over 150kg, making it the preferred material for mid-range office chairs.

Process Features: Utilizes one-piece injection molding technology, resulting in a stable structure and seamless splicing, reducing stress concentration points and extending service life.

Applicable Scenarios: Widely used in high-frequency environments such as regular office and conference chairs, with a wide temperature resistance range (-20℃~120℃), and is not easily deformed by temperature changes.

 

2. Modified Nylon (PA6+GF): The Top Choice for High-End Durability

Material Characteristics: Based on PA6 or PA66, reinforced with glass fiber, it boasts high rigidity, wear resistance, and fatigue resistance, making it suitable for high-intensity use.

Structural Performance: Maintains stability even under prolonged sitting pressure and repeated adjustments; commonly found in high-end ergonomic chairs, such as the Herman Miller and Sihoo M90 models.

Safety Standards: High flame retardant rating, compliant with international office furniture safety certifications such as BIFMA, suitable for office environments with higher safety requirements.

 

3.ABS Engineering Plastic: Balancing Texture and Cost

Overall Performance: Copolymerized from acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene, it combines hardness, toughness, and surface gloss, and is often used for seat shell outer layers or decorative parts.

Usage Characteristics: Smooth to the touch, easy to spray or electroplate, enhancing the overall appearance; however, prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause aging and brittleness, so direct sunlight should be avoided.

Common Applications: Often used in mid-to-low-end office chairs or as a seat shell surface covering; the internal structure is still primarily supported by nylon or PP.
